ERA Preferred Properties Real Estate, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Nick Vlahos & Bill Shanbarger, both R.E. salesmen in the Hanover area for over 14 yrs. The firm had one philosophy-by combining the most experienced professional sales force with the most innovative products & services available in the industry, it would become the leading firm in the Hanover area. This philosophy has enabled ERA Preferred Properties to enjoy tremendous growth & become the Hanover area's consistent leader in the industry.

The company is also proud that their growth has enabled them to be in the Top 50 of over 2,600 ERA offices internationally. In 1991, they were honored as a company by receiving the Gene Francis Memorial Award (Broker of the Year) for ERA Franchise Systems, Inc. The criteria for this award are based on growth in the market share, professionalism, use of the ERA system, profitability, local community involvement & efforts to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
