I have been practicing real-estate as a licensed salesperson for just less than 2 years. I decided to become a realtor because I had successfully bought and sold some properties at a profit, one of which I got lucky on and made a significant profit. During that time I was going to UNR to be a finance major and I found an interest in being a real estate licensee because the hour were flexible enough I could still go to school and I could continue doing something I had already done well at.

My Experience

  • Other than being a realtor, areas where I am versed are Finance and economics.
  • The I have received foundational training from all my business classes for my major at UNR. I also will be getting a broker license soon.
  • I use my experience to broaden and improve the real estate market. For example, I do not see myself as a salesman, but more of as a consultant that provides service to someone in a complicated part of life they don't know much about, much like a lawyer would to someone needing legal help. I also like to use my knowledge and finance and economics to help clients understand markets, time value of money, and to make better decisions.
  • I have lived in this area, Carson City, Silver Springs where I grew up, and now Fernley. I am familiar with each broad area. I am now most familiar with Fernley and its market because that is my favorite place to work real estate. I also enjoy the Reno/Sparks markets and am continuously gaining more knowledge about the communities in Northern Nevada.
  • I am a full time agent who is always following the market. I provide current information so my clients can make informed decisions.
  • I am a professional negotiator. I know how to push it to the very limit to maximize my, or my client's, position. By researching my opponents position before we begin, I usually know just how far I can go before the other party would walk. I keep the details of a transaction very well. I would also say that I keep transactions very organized.
  • The most fulfilling part of real estate to me so far, is helping clients and changing their opinion of a what real estate salespeople are like and what we do for a living. Many of them see us as being similar to car salesman who are pushy and rushed or that we don't have to work hard. I am happy when they see that real estate is complex and that we really do have a set of skills to help them through it.
