I always felt like we were his only client. Initially we were uncertain of the asking price (higher than we thought it should be), but Paul did his due diligence and proved us wrong!     I would highly recommend Paul Lamastra as a realtor. I met Paul about 15 years ago, when I was looking to buy a house. He worked w/me for 2 years prior to my actually making a purchase. I was impressed with his patience, and knowledge about things to consider when choosing a home. When I decided to relocate, I called Paul. I started working with him in 2007.     Paul was recommended to me by a friend and I could not have been more pleased with my experience. Prior to engaging Paul, I already knew what my house was worth in the current market as I had my own appraisal done. When Paul came to the house, he spent time going through all of NJ's guidelines on selling a home so that I would not be surprised by any of the closing cost. He was also very honest on what he could afford to take as a commission and the number was better than what I was given by anyone else. I wanted to sell my home quickly but I did not want to give it away either. Paul took this into consideration and after a few days of doing his research he came back with a number. We did talk about many different values, as he was conflicted on what he should really suggest, but in the end he came in at the same value as the independent appraiser. Once I signed, Paul arranged for the stager (highly recommend doing this) and photographer. His choices were great and they made my house look amazing. When Paul and I finally decided to list the property, it went in three days for a value higher than the asking price. We had went with the value that would get the house sold with the hope that it would result in a higher price. That technique worked in my situation. I have sold a number of homes and have found that listening to the Realtor works the best. Paul has great knowledge of the area as well as good techniques that result in a sale of your home.

    Hello Paul , Thank you very much for your guidance regarding the sale of my parents home. -You provided a good overview of the competitive landscape which allowed us to price the house appropriately resulting in a sale within 90 days of our listing. -We had 2 offers initially and we selected one buyer which resulted in a contract which was subsequently terminated when the purchaser elected not to buy the home. This was frustrating but contracts do fall apart. We than had 2 additional buyers who wanted to buy the home and one was willing to pay the asking price. You aided us in selecting the buyer who ultimately closed. Ultimately the closing price was superior to the price achieved with the first contract. -You were very helpful working with the town to resolve how we should address the former oil tank and the oil heater replacement that never received a final approval from Scotch Plains in 1993.
