I've had my house on the market for 16 months. During that time I've went through 3 real estate agents. (Patricia is the fourth) The problem I had with the others is, they seem to think that the house should just sell itself, they don't keep me updated on what's going on, make recommendations on how to market it better, or follow through with promises made while I was interviewing agents to choose to sell my house. I even had one agent lie to me about visiting our house when the alarm system showed he didn't.
I met Patricia when she stopped by the day before a showing to make sure the house was ready for a customer to view. I'd never had a buyers agent do that before. We called her and asked her to come by and discuss possibly being our new agent. She was very impressive with her idea's, straightforwardness and demeanor. In the three months since she took over, I have weekly reports from her on every viewing, and feedback as to the customers comments. She held a real-estate agent open house to make them aware of the house and it's potential fit for their customers, and she re-arranged our staged furniture based on out real-estate agents comments, to include bringing over a few items of her own to accent the house's appeal. I intend to keep Patricia until the house sells, regardless of how long it takes. You won't find a better, harder working agent. She is also a Veteran, which likely has a lot to do with her professionalism and dedication to her job.
