Preston Porter
Preston Porter is the owner and managing broker of Porter Realty, Inc. in Alamosa, Colorado. He acquired the company from his parents, Mike and Mary Ann Porter, in 2008, after joining full-time in 2003 as property manager.
Specializing in residential, commercial, and farm/ranch real estate across the San Luis Valley’s five counties, Preston is renowned for his efficiency, competence, and deep market expertise. He holds a Certified Negotiation Expert designation and is pursuing an Accredited Land Consultant designation. Preston is an active member of the Alamosa County Economic Development Corporation, the Rocky Mountain Commercial Broker network, and the Realtors Land Institute, and he previously served as president of the local Realtors board.
A lifelong Alamosa native, Preston graduated from Alamosa High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in business with honors from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. While at UCCS, he obtained his Colorado Real Estate license and worked as an agent at Rustic Realty.
Preston and his wife, Katie, also a San Luis Valley native, frequently visit their cabin in Del Norte, Colorado. They enjoy traveling, cheering for the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos, golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
