Jaron Ragsdale
Jaron Ragsdale comes to Regents Real Estate Group with a deep appreciation for and knowledge of land and agriculture, and a love of community. Jaron grew up on a ranch near Norwood, Colo., and graduated from Colorado Mesa University with degrees in geology and environmental geology, and a minor in watershed science. Before becoming a real estate professional, Jaron worked for the U.S. Department of Energy, performing water and soil sampling and remediation at uranium mill sites and nuclear test sites. He also started a hobby farm which, he says, “filled the void left when I departed for college and left behind the agriculture-based lifestyle I grew up with.” Jaron continues to balance his professional life with this love of farming. And that love of community? “I love this community because agriculture is the driving force here and agriculture is my passion,” Jaron says. “The people are very friendly and supportive of each other. If you live within 5 or 6 miles you are a ‘neighbor’ and as supported as if you were next door.” A new real estate agent, Jaron is looking forward to using his knowledge, skills and passions to help his clients find their dream home or land in a region with so much to offer. In fact, getting outside and exploring all that this region has to offer is what Jaron does in his free time. “I enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking and anything else outdoors for that matter. I still keep up with my geology and love snooping around the mountains ‘rockhounding’.” Jaron and his wife, a nurse, are planning to start a family soon and he hopes to pass his interests on to the next generation, a sentiment that gives him insight into what many of his clients are looking for in finding their dream home.
