Charmaine became licensed in the State of Florida in January 1989 and subsequently obtained her Broker's license. Recognitions and awards received by Charmaine include ERA Beyond Excellence Agent, Leader's Circle Agent, Multi-Million Dollar Club, and sheconsistantly ranks in the top bracket of the Nassau County Board of Realtors. Designations earned by Charmaine include Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Certified Property Manager (CPM). Prior to selling real estate on Amelia Island, Ms. Gray was the Vice President of The Gray Group in Columbia, MD, a nationally recognized consulting firm. The firm provided technical assistance to public housing authorities, state and local governments, private developers, non-profit and for profit agencies and financial institutions to produce and revitalize affordable housing. She oversaw the successful implementation of new public housing construction and public housing acquisition with rehabilitation, developed program strategies and financing approaches leading to increased opportunities for resident self-sufficiency, homeownership, and overall project viability. Before joining The Gray Group, she served for ten years as the Executive Director of a public housing authority in Virginia where she managed and constructed new public housing, administered various government housing programs, and served as a liaison between local, state and federal governments. Under her leaderhip, the Authority was accorded the Department of HUD's highest national award for management excellence and a Specific Activity Award for energy conservation efforts. Her past housing development background has served her well when working with housing developers/builders on Amelia Island and surrounding Nassau County.
