Jill Wood
After more than 500 closed real estate transactions, Jill Wood knows that no two moves are exactly alike—and the first step isn't talking. It's listening.
A REALTOR® with ERA American Real Estate, Jill has served buyers and sellers along Florida's Emerald Coast since becoming licensed in 2013. Through September 2026, she has closed 504 transactions representing more than $151 million in sales volume. Approximately 85% of her business comes from repeat clients and referrals, something Jill sees as a reflection of the relationships she builds and the experience she provides long after closing.
Jill's connection to Northwest Florida began with a military move of her own. After growing up in the rainy Pacific Northwest, she and her husband, Gabe, PCS'd to Fort Walton Beach in 2008 during his 10 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. She remembers arriving on the Emerald Coast and feeling like she had found paradise. What began as a military assignment became their forever home.
Today, Jill serves Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Navarre, Crestview, Shalimar, Mary Esther, Niceville, Valparaiso, Gulf Breeze and surrounding Emerald Coast communities.
Military families remain an important part of Jill's business, with approximately 75–80% of her clients being active-duty military members, veterans or military families. Having experienced a PCS firsthand, she understands the uncertainty, deadlines and stress that can accompany a military move. Jill regularly helps families relocating to and from Eglin Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field, Duke Field and the 7th Special Forces Group, including buyers utilizing VA financing.
Jill is a Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Florida Military Specialist and is qualified to work with USAA, Navy Federal and Cartus relocation programs.
Her experience extends well beyond military relocation. Jill works with sellers, repeat and move-up clients, first-time buyers, investors, new construction buyers, condo buyers and those buying or selling single-family homes.
For sellers, Jill believes a successful listing begins well before the property hits the market. She focuses on education, pricing and positioning, identifying the likely buyer, preparing the property appropriately and creating a dedicated marketing strategy. Throughout the listing, she provides consistent communication and current market data to help sellers make informed decisions.
For buyers, Jill starts by listening. She takes time to understand their goals, needs and priorities before developing a strategy. Her extensive transaction and contract experience allows her to anticipate potential challenges, negotiate effectively and guide clients from the initial search through closing.
Before entering real estate, Jill worked in social work, an experience she credits with developing one of the most valuable skills she brings to her real estate career: the ability to truly listen to people and understand what they need.
Since joining ERA American Real Estate in 2019, Jill has been recognized as a Top Ten Agent every year. Her recognition also includes ERA Leaders Circle and customer service honors, and she has been nominated for Fort Walton Beach REALTOR® of the Year through the Emerald Coast Association of REALTORS®.
Clients consistently describe Jill as professional, communicative and someone who treats them like family. Her approach is straightforward: listen to the client's goals, be honest, work hard and do everything possible to exceed expectations.
Professional. Approachable. Dependable.
Whether a client is making their first move to the Emerald Coast, selling because military orders are taking them somewhere new, moving up to their next home or simply beginning a new chapter, Jill's goal is to make sure they have an experienced, trusted REALTOR® beside them every step of the way....
