She served as Venice Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Tourist Development Committee for two years and Board of Directors for six years. During that time she was also the Co-Founder of the Venice Sharkstooth and Seafood Festival, the largest and most successful community wide event ever. “Venice's Sharks Tooth and Seafood Festival, rated by Events Magazine as one of the top 100 Events in the United States, 1992 & 1993” Mary has an unique and long term commitment to the Venice Community. As such she was Named Venice Gondolier's Around Town “Venice's Special Person of The Week” August 19, 2020 Mary was also: Board Chairmen for two years and served on the American Cancer Society - South Sarasota, Desoto Board for five years. A mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters Venice High School Mentoring Program for five years. Board member and Vice President of Sertoma Club Of Venice for two years. A few additional things you should also know about Mary: She has eight years' experience in hospitality and property management in both New England and Florida.
