I have been blessed to live the Florida dream and am reminded of my good fortune with every boat and scuba trip into clear Gulf waters, where the ?visibility? stretches from my mask to the fossilized shark's teeth nestled in the sands below. Venice is not only my home but my paradise. As a seasoned Real Estate Broker, I perform every day and each transaction with handshake integrity and continuously work to maintain a reputation of quality and kindness that our neighbors can rely on.
Prior to real estate, I served the community as a Firefighter/Paramedic for 25 years, working for Sarasota County Emergency Services, retiring as a Battalion Chief. I am also a published author.
I began my journey into the Florida housing market, by starting a Real Estate investment company, Partnership Properties, Inc. Through the daily challenges of a small business owner, I gained expertise in every aspect of Real Estate from hammering nails to hammering out contracts and realized, as entrepreneurs quickly do: with personal money at stake, one learns to pay attention to detail. I quickly found myself mastering construction, insurance, contracts, finance, marketing, negotiation strategies, and troubleshooting, all involving my personal properties and all presented with a sense of urgency. Nearly a decade later, my desire to remodel and resell homes matured into a passion to place the clients with whom I had developed close relationships into their dream homes. To me, the most rewarding part of being a REALTOR® is the impact I make in my clients' lives when together, we find the perfect place for them to call home.
I previously served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County.
I could not have achieved any of these goals without my lovely wife Ida, ?Hap,? whom I adore, and two wonderful daughters, Amy and Brittney, and my wonderful grandchildren.
