Theresa Querrard Bernier began her real estate career in St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. As a former mortgage loan underwriter and assistant mortgage manager of one of the largest banks in the Caribbean, she has approved and managed multi-million dollar residential and commercial contracts, including the processing and approval of Veterans’ home purchases and new construction mortgages. She views her underwriting experience and knowledge as an invaluable asset to her real estate business. "Helping people realize their dreams of homeownership is extremely gratifying," she says. "There's no greater feeling than seeing the sparkle in someone's eyes when those keys are handed over and knowing I played a part in making that dream come true ." Having come from a family that has served and continues to serve our country honorably, Theresa understands and appreciates the sacrifices of our military personnel and their families. In addition to three uncles who served in World War Two and several cousins who have served and are currently serving in our armed forces, her husband, James, is a proud Vietnam Era Veteran with the rank of Sergeant and a USAA member.
