Meet Aixa Hernandez
My real estate goal is to help future buyers & sellers acquire their first, second or forever homes! I never thought I’d be able to afford a home myself with 3 kids and some debt, however, after speaking with a mortgage lender and a real estate agent, I obtained an FHA loan and purchased my first home in the Bronx in 2013. It was life changing in so many ways to go from renting to being a homeowner! In the process, I learned so much that I was able to sell my “starter” home and buy my forever home in Rockland County. I love the world of real estate and believe that it can be one of the smartest ways to invest.
My initial exposure to the fringes of real estate was right out of college; I went to work for a title company doing searches and title closings. I later came to work in Finance for the largest Architectural firm in the world as a Regional A/P Manager for 4 of their 50 locations, but I found that I missed doing title work which prompted me to get my real estate license. Through all my related experiences over the years in title, finance, buying, selling, leasing & renovating homes, I learned the skills of a good real estate agent, and can relate to the experiences of my clients.
I consider myself a lifelong learner. I graduated from SUNY Delhi with a degree in Computer Information Systems. It was while attending college in upstate NY that I discovered I prefer country or suburban living to city living. I love helping people and volunteer my time at WeCare in NYC each year, along with making PB&J sandwiches for the homeless through St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters. Now that my kids are college-age and older, I have the time to dedicate to serving my community and focusing on my real estate clients.
