Let me tell you a little about myself, I was raised in Cedar City, UT, and worked as law enforcement officer for just over 15 years. I have been married to a wonderful woman, Rhonda, for 23 years; we have 2 teenage children and recently adopted a 5 year old little boy whom we love dearly. I worked as a certified EMT on the Iron County Ambulance for 3 years before joining the Iron County Sheriff?s Office in 2007 where I hold the rank of Corporal; as member of the SWAT team, a Firearms instructor and successfully completed the ?Hell Week? training. In September 2010, I was awarded the ?Medal of Valor? for bravery and actions in the line of duty when faced with a mentally unstable subject armed with a knife. In December of 2013, I was awarded one of the highest honors of? Medal of Honor? from the Utah Peace officers Association, the ?Gold medal of Valor from the Utah Sheriffs Association and the ?Metal of Bravery? form the Iron County Sheriff?s Department for actions in the line of duty. The vast opportunity I have had over the years to meet and talk with my fellow residents here in Iron County has been a pleasure. I hope to continue for years to come.
