Barbie Balenger
Barbie settled in Central Virginia on 92 acres after retiring from Government Service. Having bought and sold many personal properties over the years, Barbie ventured into Real Estate to create a smooth and enjoyable home buying and/or selling experience for others.
Prior to the Real Estate adventure, Barbie served the U.S. Government for 30 years before retiring as the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Science and Technology Special Activities Group.
During her career, she excelled at cross-program engagement and managing and operating within complex environments. Barbie’s value-centered leadership supported multiple programs and offices working on five different continents. As an executive manager, she initiated ambitious change activities focused on driving operational impact, improving integration between programs, and implementing process modernization.
Barbie received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marymount University. She also holds professional certifications from the Gemological Institute of America and is a Licensed Virginia Real Estate Agent.
