Originally from the mountains of Virginia I settled in the Tidewater region after travelling extensively as a military wife. My residence in this region began in December of 1989. My employment background is customer service. Namely, restaurant management. Anyone in the industry knows that this is similar to daycare and alligator wrestling rolled into one. My philosophy in life is what you can't laugh about, may kill you. I consider myself patient and diligent, priding myself in accomplishing goals. The main objective, when I entered Real Estate, was to simply earn a living providing a service. I found that within the property management department here at ERA Real Estate Professionals. Now, I find great joy in finding the perfect home or buyer for my clients. Nothing is more satisfying than creating calm in the seemingly, overwhelming home market. Here at ERA Real Estate Professionals, there is always a helpful agent or staff with answers or sources to any, out of the ordinary, situation that may arise.
My personal life is busy and happy. Our home is filled with 6 members ranging in the ages of 18-83. My husband immigrated to the country in 1974 and enlisted into the military soon after. Upon gaining his college diploma, he re-entered the Navy and retired as a Commander 9 years ago. The oldest member of our abode is the most loved, Lola. The precious grandmother to our children and my beloved mother-in-law. I am lucky to say I have the best Mother-in-Law there is. My husband and I have our last 3 children at home. The two eldest children have already entered their career choice but our nest is nurturing the last 3. 2 are post-graduate students. One will be entering the field of Occupational Therapy soon and the other will join forces in the accounting field. WOOHOO, one more to go! Our youngest graduates from High School this June and will enter college in the fall.
I look forward to each adventure that life will offer and plan never to retire. Hopefully, I will enter the Smucker's Jar hall as fame and be known as the oldest, living Realtor. No matter where my career may lead me the joy of participating in the first time home buy will never dissipate. I strive to be patient and kind to whomever God sends my way and will always be resourceful continuing to soak in the knowledge of my colleagues and friends and field of work.
