Dennis Starr
Born and raised in Door County. Graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School in 1962; graduate of University of Milwaukee in 1967 with Bachelors Degree in economics with emphasis on real estate. Passed the state real estate sales and brokers exam in 1969 and went to work for Starr Realty. In 1975, purchased Starr Realty from father, Virgil Starr, who founded the company in 1954. In 2002, merged with ERA Shoreside Realty and created Door County's Powerhouse Real Estate Agency, ERA Starr Realty. Past president of Door County Board of Realtors, recipient of Gale Zahn Distinguished Service Award, Door County Board of Realtors Realtor of the Year Award in 1978, member of Wisconsin Realtors Honor Society, awarded Realtor Emeritus in 2010 by National Association of Realtors for 40 years in the real estate business. Served on Door County Chamber of Commerce, Door County Economic Development Corporation and other community organizations in addition to coaching youth sports for 17 years.
