MEET PAULA NIRSCHL
Paula Nirschl is a branch manager and senior loan officer who draws on ten years of experience as a collegiate basketball coach to lead clients through the loan process and secure homeownership financing. She believes her most important responsibility as a loan officer is to provide education and aggressively tackle problems that may prevent you from reaching your goals. “As a coach, I learned that hard work and preparation in the pre-season leads to success,” she said. “I begin with the end in mind and put together a playbook that helps you strengthen your home buying position.”
Paula has worked in the lending industry for 17 years. Since joining Guild Mortgage in 2011, she’s opened four branches in Oregon and Washington, and she has her license in California. For the past five years, Mortgage Executive Magazine named Paula one of the “Top 1% of Mortgage Originators in America.” The National Association of Professional Mortgage Women (NAPMW) awarded Paula “National Leader of the Year” for her work with their local chapter in 2016.
Paula was among the first in the mortgage industry to embrace more advanced digital methods during the COVID-19 pandemic, including web conferencing, portals for paperwork, online signing, and notarization. She says, “I strive to make the complicated lending process more comfortable and engage with vendors and clients in creative ways.”
Paula is a NAPMW board member and partners with ninety-nine girlfriends, an organization that provides learning opportunities and grants for local women. She also helps loan officers reach their income potential as a coach with the GuildU coaching program, and says, “Coaching is just in my blood--whether it's clients, co-workers, or teammates.”
MEET KELLI SCOTT
Kelli Scott is a senior loan officer who has worked in the mortgage and banking industries for two decades. The business veteran joined Guild Mortgage in 2012 and says her personal experience as a first-time buyer most influences how she delivers exceptional client care today, including providing education, guidance through each step of the approval process, and regular communication.
”I bought my first home when I was a wide-eyed 19-year-old kid, and I was overwhelmed because I didn't understand how the loan process worked,” said Kelli. “My ordeal inspires me to teach and empower you to make confident decisions so that you will feel relaxed throughout the process and thrilled with your results.”
When the COVID-19 pandemic pressed the mortgage industry to adopt more advanced digital methods, Kelli embraced powerful technology that streamlined the complicated lending process and enabled her to engage with vendors and clients in new ways, including web conferencing, portals for paperwork, and online signing and notarization.
Kelli is a new mom who enjoys spending time with her beautiful daughter and discovering joy in small moments. She is a board member with the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women and also a marathon runner. Kelli says, “Like a long-distance race, there are ups and downs during your home buying or refinancing journey, and it’s normal to feel uncertainty and frustration.
