Yes... to what you're thinking right now. Norman Maclean wrote a book about us titled "A River Runs Through It"... may I quote the author? (Sorry in advance about the "b" word...) "The world is full of bastards, the number increasing rapidly the further one gets from Missoula, MT." The book focuses primarily on the Blackfoot River but we also have the Clark Fork river and the Bitterroot river dissecting us. These rivers have helped carve our identity in many ways. Missoula really is a very friendly place; I regularly meet people visiting or traveling through and theres consistently in this observation. Missoula or MT for that matter isn't just for the guys either. We're home to smart, sassy women with a lot of ambition and self confidence. I know a few hundred and I live here! Another great thing about this place is that we get to experience all four seasons. I happen to be writing this on the last day of February and it seems like Old Mr. Winter is hanging on for dear life, seriously he's being a bit greedy. But spring is on it's way, she's never failed to show up. Montana's tagline is "The Last Best Place" and I think it's still very fitting. Life feels like it can be lived the way it should be around here. If you haven't explored our town or the endless adventures surrounding us then I'm just going to say it- you're missing out!
