Oldest original home in Americus, This Greek Revival raised cottage was built in 1833 for James Peter Guerry, a judge and state representative. The house contains 8 rooms, with center halls and features 12 fireplaces, the floors and glass are original. An outside staircase leads to the upstairs, and the exterior features early Victorian jig-sawn porch work. Fourteen artesian wells are on the property, which originally was Springhill Plantation.
