MEREDITH: Have you ever dreamed of owning your own island and living off the grid?! Welcome to Turtle Island, a step back into time where life slows down. This rustic camp was built in 1903 and takes up most of the privately owned island. As you enter the enclosed porch, you will find a 1/2 bath with sink and incinerator toilet. The kitchen features a kerosene powered refrigerator and antique cooking stove. A hand pump brings water into the camp from the lake. The living room is large with a fireplace and kerosene powered wall sconces. There is a bedroom on the main level off the living room. Stepping outside on the screen porch, you cannot get closer to the lake! This spot is ideal for taking in the peace and solitude of island living. Upstairs, off the kitchen, is the 2nd bedroom and a loft which creates a 3rd sleeping space. The camp has a metal roof.
