When people come over and walk through the front door, the first thing they usually say is, "Now that is what I call a view." We always tell them the same thing. "The view is beautiful... but that's not why we bought this place." When we walked through the front door, we had the exact same reaction. But then we walked out into the backyard and down to the beach. That's when we knew this would become more than a house with a view. Our grandkids don't come here to sit inside and stare at a screen. They disappear into the woods, build sandcastles on the beach, catch fish from the dock, swim until they're exhausted, and come home dirty at the end of the day. It reminds us of the kind of childhood many of us were lucky enough to have, where imagination replaced screens and the best days ended with stories to tell.
