ERA Martin Associates is one of the largest locally-owned real estate firms on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, with offices in Salisbury and Ocean Pines. Serving the residential and commercial real estate needs of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia, ERA Martin Associates is currently home to over 75 Realtors®, a residential property management division, and a vacation rental division. Chairman Bill Martin founded Bill Martin & Associates in 1985, after gaining experience at his mother’s real estate firm in New Jersey, and working as an agent and manager at several companies in the Salisbury area. The company was first located in Bill’s home, and employed an administrative staff of one. Shortly after opening its doors, Bill Martin Associates outgrew its current space, and the company moved to a larger office in Court Plaza in Salisbury. Over the years, the firm continued to grow and take on more agents and staff. In 1991, they moved to an even larger office on Eastern Shore Drive, allowing room for additional expansion. A rental division was added to serve the property management needs of the community. In 1996, with the emerging presence of the internet and new technology, Bill made the decision to join the ERA® franchise, adding the benefits of an internationally-recognized real estate company to their toolbelt. Joining ERA gave Bill’s agents and leadership access to new programs and technologies not previously seen in our area in the real estate industry. The company officially became the locally-renowned brokerage, ERA Martin Associates. By 2006, ERA Martin had once again outgrown its home, and plans were made to build a large new office on the corner of Rt. 50 and E. Main Street in Salisbury. The new office building includes suites on the top level for mortgage and title companies to rent space, a separate area for the growing rental division, and plenty of conference rooms and office space for the agents. ERA is still housed at this location in Salisbury today, and is considered to be one of the more prominent buildings in the area. In 2021, ERA Martin Associates merged with Shamrock Realty Group, another local real estate firm located in Ocean Pines, Maryland. Bringing years of local experience in the Worcester County market, the Shamrock team was a natural fit with the existing culture at ERA. Bringing its own residential property management and vacation rental departments, the Ocean Pines office became officially known as ERA Martin Associates Shamrock Division and is situated in a convenient location on Racetrack Road (Rt. 589). Over the years, ERA Martin has prided themselves on recruiting and training real estate talent. Many of the top agents in the area have found their home at ERA. They have been the top real estate firm in the Wicomico County area since 2013, and have a reputation for excellence in customer service as well. ERA’s Realtors® and leadership remain very involved in our local community, our Realtor® Associations, and volunteering their time and resources for others. ERA Martin Associates as a company puts great focus on furthering the education and career development of their agents. From a comprehensive post-licensing training program for new agents, to ongoing sales skills and technology training, to strong management and staff support, ERA takes great pride in growing their Realtors® careers. Today, Bill’s daughter Joni Martin Williamson is the Broker of the company, and oversees the agents and staff in both locations.
